Child Safety & Student Data Policy
VidyaGate is used by schools to manage education records for students, including minors. We are committed to protecting children’s privacy and safety.
1. Our role
We provide technology to schools. Schools are responsible for enrolling students, obtaining parental consent where required, and deciding what information is shared through the app. We process student-related data only as instructed by the school and as needed to provide the Service.
2. Student data we may process
- Name, class, section, roll number, admission number
- Student photograph (uploaded by school)
- Attendance records
- Fee and payment status (not full payment card data)
- Academic and administrative records entered by the school
- Parent/guardian contact information linked to the student
3. Parent access
Parents access their child’s information only through authenticated accounts authorized by the school. Parents should not share login credentials with children unless the school explicitly permits student access.
4. No targeted advertising to children
We do not use student data for third-party advertising. We do not sell student personal information.
5. Safety & inappropriate content
The Service is intended for school administration and communication. Users must not upload or share harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content. Schools should report violations to us immediately.
6. Reporting safety concerns
If you believe a child is at risk or that student data has been misused, contact us immediately:

7. Data minimization
Schools should enter only data necessary for educational purposes. We encourage schools to limit photo sharing and sensitive information to what is required for school operations.
8. Compliance
We support schools in meeting obligations under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and applicable education regulations. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
